Cannes is having a taste of Brussels

CANNES IS HAVING A TASTE OF BRUSSELS

    – 14 november 2017 –

From 15 to 17 November, Atrium.Brussels will be representing the Brussels-Capital region at the international retail property trade show (MAPIC) in Cannes. For the occasion, the Brussels trade agency has invited investors and retailers from all sectors for a tantalising sampling of Brussels and its districts…

Louise and its luxury shops, Dansaert and its stylists, Sainte-Catherine and its food shops, Grand-Place and its secret passages, Saint-Jacques and its indie offering… our Brussels’ districts have the knack of engaging our senses. However, it is difficult to explain all of their workings without having tried and tested them first.

That’s why this year, Atrium is cordially inviting potential investors to enjoy a taste of Brussels. To get a sense of its atmosphere by listening to its sounds, to smell its aromas by tasting its chocolate, to realise all of its potential by tasting its beers.

Sampling beer, chocolate … and data!

On Wednesday and Thursday, Atrium’s coaches will be offering a live, personalised presentation of a selection of Brussels’ districts.

A “Draft Tour” will enlighten visitors about the richness of the more established districts such as the Grand-Place, Rue Neuve or even Louise, while the districts with a less conventional offering will be presented during a colourful “Craft Tour”. This will take a quick look at the Place Flagey and its liner, the Châtelain and its unusual architecture, Sainte-Catherine and its old seaport…
For this tour, the Agency will be providing food and drink, particularly worthy of mention: beer and chocolate, associated with each district and made in Brussels (Brasserie de la Senne, Brussels Beer Project, En Stoemelings and Nanobrasserie de l’Ermitage for the hops, Darcis for the manon chocolates), will be served during the presentations.

And if these gastronomic delights are not enough, our special envoys will still have a slew of information and videos up their sleeves, together with an augmented reality experience to make them change their minds.

Thanks to VR technology and its augmented reality glasses, Atrium is providing nothing less than a visit to the most important places in Brussels, just as if you were actually there.

With “Be Immersed“, Atrium is offering a stroll “in-situ” around 10 strategic arteries for regional development: Rue Neuve, Toison d’Or, Boulevard de Waterloo… each of the visits will be embellished with key information about the district: pedestrian footfall, customer profile, iconic brands.

The participants will also have the opportunity to talk to our experts, who will be there to guide them and explain to them about the expectations of customers in Brussels and the opportunities that are available to them.
